Developer Accentize introduces two new plugins: DeRoom2 and DeRoom Pro2.

Accentize DeRoom2 and DeRoom Pro2 are plugins for removing unwanted ambience from your audio. They do this by using machine learning algorithms that make it easier to post-process audio.

Accentize DeRoom2 and DeRoom Pro2

Accentize states that the algorithms in DeRoom 2 & DeRoom Pro2 are comparable to the algorithm you’ll find in their plugin VoiceGate2. However, these algorithms feature a neural network that has been trained to recognise room resonance. More specifically, it’s been trained to remove it!

After processing thousands of ambience recordings, DeRoom2 & DeRoom Pro2 can identify between the reverberation of a sound and the dry audio. Now, you can get a professional recording in your less than professional recording space and do not need to undertake complicated audio editing.

Both DeRoom2 plugins process audio in real-time automatically. Controls allow you to adjust how much reduction is to take place and then leave it to the algorithm to do the rest.

But, of course, DeRoom Pro2 give you further features with more advanced algorithms, a special Spectral Focus Mode, Attack and Release parameters, separate processing for the left and right channels, and additional metering in the form of a spectrogram and gain. DeRoom Pro2 also allows you to solo and listen to the reverb sound on its own too. Furthermore, three frequency bands allow you to get your hands dirty and get specific.

The DeRoom Pro algorithm automatically estimates the optimal room-size settings. During the training phase the neural network has listened to a great variety of different room conditions and can now automatically apply the required filtering.

If you’re looking to simply clean up some podcast recordings or film dialogue as simply as possible, then DeRoom2 is for you. On the other hand, DeRoom Pro2 is for precise editing.

DeRoom2 price and availability

DeRoom2 costs $49 while DeRoom Pro2 costs $199. If you already own DeRoom or DeRoom Pro then DeRoom2 is a free update for you. b

DeRoom2 is available in VST3, AAX, and AU plugin formats for 64-bit Windows and macOS.
