What sets Blue Cat’s Connector apart from virtual audio drivers like GroundControl is that Blue Cat Connector is a plugin that we can insert at any point in our DAW’s mixer. GroundControl, on the other hand, must be selected as your DAW’s audio output device. We can then specify where we want to send the data, and where the data should be sent from. Simple routing that solves a plethora of potential problems. The data sender or receiver may also be another instance of Blue Cat’s Connector in the same DAW, in another application, or on another computer on the same network!

Blue Cat Audio has stated that you have total control over the streaming, which ensures the lowest possible latencies. When used within the same app, Connector supports latencies as low as 0 samples. It also offers resampling and drift compensation algorithms, so you don’t have to worry about sampling rates and any potential synchronization issues.

Blue Cat’s Connector is now available at an introductory price of $39 until February 20th. It;’s compatible with macOS 10.9 or higher (M1 supported) and Windows Vista or higher. It’s available in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats.
