u-he Releases Zebra 3 for public beta
So here we are – u-he have finally and officially opened up the doors to Zebra 3, the much anticipated next generation of its flagship synthesiser into public beta. This isn’t just an update, it’s a complete rebuild of one of the most respected and iconic soft-synths of the last two decades.
What is it?
Zebra 3 is a fully modular, hybrid software synthesiser. The entire engine has been rebuilt from the ground up since Zebra 2, making it more flexible, while keeping true to the sound-design philosophy and workflow that made Zabra such a hit with producers and composers.
Key features
- Fully rebuilt Zebra engine – a complete rewrite of the synth from the ground up.
- Modular, hybrid architecture – flexible signal flow combining multiple synthesis approaches.
- New and expanded sound-generation modules – designed for deeper sound design than Zebra 2.
- Powerful modulation system – highly flexible routing with improved clarity and control.
- Updated interface and workflow – modernised layout focused on usability and scalability.
What’s new
Deeper modularity, more expressive modulation and a revamped, fresh workfloe, Zebra 3’s focus is giving greater control over how sounds are built from the ground up and animated over time, all whilst aiming to make complex patches easier to understand and manage.
