Spotify’s DJ feature, launched in 2023, became popular with users thanks to its AI-driven recommendations and ‘host-style’ commentary. Today, they’ve provided the ability to make voice requests, which adds another layer of personalisation to the experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making a request is just as easy as asking a real-life DJ. Simply ask for music based on your mood, activity, or even by artist, album, genre, or decade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The feature is available for all premium users, and making requests is easy (English only at launch<\/em>):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open the Spotify app and head to the Search tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Search for \u2018DJ\u2019 and press play.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Hold down the DJ button in the right-hand corner until you hear a beep and see \u201clistening\u201d appear on your screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Speak your request- the more specific you can be, the better. The DJ will serve a tailored line-up matched with commentary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Fancy a change? Just press and hold the DJ button again to make a new request.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
