Interface updates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Bitwig interface has been refined for a cleaner, smoother and more modern feel. One of the biggest changes is that your editing tools now live in a hand palette on the right-hand side of the UI, which gives you faster access without cluttering up your workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stay in Key, Effortlessly<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You can now set a project-wide\/global key signature. Your piano roll and plugins can now use this global setting, so you’re always snapped into the right key.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Automation updates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Editing automation is now smoother than ever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Automation Spread<\/strong> \u2013 Randomize automation values across a range for natural, humanized movement. Perfect for evolving pads or lively modulations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Automation Hold<\/strong> \u2013 Freeze a parameter at a fixed value until the next point, making complex envelopes simple to manage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Automation Clips<\/strong> \u2013 This is the big one: automation now exists as its own clip type, so you can loop it, <\/strong>move it, stretch it, or drop it anywhere – just like MIDI or audio.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Visual Upgrades<\/strong> \u2013 Automation curves are easier to see and tweak, with cleaner lane handling inside the editor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Clip Aliases<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Stop copy-pasting the same loop over and over again. With clip aliases, you can now duplicate patterns across your track – and when you edit one, they all update. Need one to break free? Just hit ‘Make Unique’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
