Pigments’ free update<\/a><\/span><\/strong> takes Pigments to a new level of sound design as it explores the new textures that electronic music producers continue to bring to life, reports Ask.Audio<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those who haven’t yet explored Pigments, it’s truly a blank canvas. With Pigments, it’s a wavetable synthesizer<\/a><\/span><\/strong> where we can control and combine multiple sound generators for a variety of results. One generator contains up to over 80 wavetables! Not to mention over 1200 presets of ready-made sounds that Pigments comes with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, what’s new with Pigments 3.5?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CrossMod<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Introduce cross-modulation between engines 1 and 2. Either engine can be used as a modulation source, with a number of parameters to customize for wild harmonics, unusual waveforms, and extreme sonic results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Distortion Module<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pigments 3.5\u2019s new Distortion Module combines 16 modes of distortion with built-in filtering, for everything from bubbling germanium fuzz to jagged wave folding, soft saturation or pure filth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expanded Comb Filter<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pigments’ comb filter now comes with 3 new damped modes; LP6, BP6, and HP6. These filter out certain frequencies in the feedback loop for unique sounds like ambient plucks, shimmering bowed leads, and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple M1 compatibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
