Studio One 5.5 has just seen its release by PreSonus. The latest update presents a multitude of new mastering tools to the DAW, as well as a bunhc of other features designed to enhance your production workflow – all user requested. Studio One 5.5 is a free update for all registered users of Studio One 5, reports Gear News<\/em><\/a><\/span>.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

PreSonus has stated that Studio One 5.5 features \u201cthe number one user features request for the Project Page\u201d. New tools included in the free update include full track volume<\/strong>, master volume<\/strong> and insert effect plug-in automation<\/strong> to the Project Page<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This allows us to write automation in real-time or draw it with the Paint tool<\/strong>. Now also featured in the Project Page is Clip Gain Envelopes<\/strong> which allows for precise control over gain issues while mastering, without the need for any dynamic altering plug-ins!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new Listen Bus<\/strong> on the Project Page allows us to monitor through room correction plugins or headphone monitoring tools without affecting the master output one bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital publishing<\/strong> features have also been upgraded by PreSonus. We can now export to multiple audio formats at once. This means we can create different versions of any track for high-res releases and streaming services alike – all at once. Studio One 5.5 now offers Target Loudness<\/strong> options for popular streaming services, along with a new dithering<\/a><\/strong><\/span> algorithm that minimizes conversion artefacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The production and performance workflows of the DAW have also seen updates. Now, we can now drag any MIDI file directly to the Chord Track<\/strong> and extract its chords that way, as well as create custom strum patterns by dragging note events in a selected chord! PreSonus states that the Ampire XT guitar amp\/pedalboard<\/strong> plugin now offers faster-preset switching<\/strong>, optimized for the Show Page<\/strong> so that we can switch between presets from a MIDI pedalboard during a live performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can also now have automation data with Mix Scenes<\/strong> for experimenting with multiple automation passes. The Plugin Nap<\/strong> feature that was introduced in Studio One 5.4 is now available for each plugin too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Studio One 5.5 update is free for registered owners of Studio One 5. It\u2019s also included in the PreSonus Sphere subscription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
