With 9 switchable polar patterns<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, the microphone\u2019s versatility is exceptionally high. You can switch between the 9 polar patterns directly from the power supply unit. As a result, the Vanguard V13 Gen2 is an audio tool that puts so many possibilities in the palm of your hand. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Relying on a 34 mm capsule with gold plated Mylar membrane, the vintage audio character doesn’t compromise any signal detail. While the V13 Gen2 product assembly and testing take place in the USA, the tubes themselves are actually sourced from European manufacturers. Brass, aluminium, stainless steel, and zinc make up the microphone itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The V13 gen2 refines the lauded design of the original V13. Key upgrades include low-noise audiophile-grade resistors sourced from a US manufacturer, as well as Neutrik\u00ae Group audio connectors on the microphone, power supply, and cable. <\/p>Vanguard<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The power supply of the microphone has seen an upgrade. Because of the upgrade, the new power supply delivers low levels of inherent noise to your recording. Additionally, due to the new components, extra headroom is readily available on every recording. The connections available on the Vanguard V13 Gen2 are now Neutrik parts, and the signal path includes US-made resistors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A high-pass filter with a 125Hz cut off frequency removes rumbles and unwanted noise from interrupting your recording with a 6 dB\/octave slope and optional -10dB attenuation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Included with the microphone is a shock mount which has seen updates with the new model too. As a result of the new open-front design of the shock mount, you can place your microphone up close to your sound source. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
