Ever since obtaining a Master's Degree in Music, the Montreal-based guitarist JMPayeur | Zenpoolzone has collaborated in the creation of multiples works: from contemporary music for electric guitar, to various projects of performer-actor in a dance-and-theater context, to sound designing for art gallery exhibits. Moreover, he explores the realm of guitar sonic experience through the use of new technologies along with a particular interest in architecture. This unusual approach filters throughout his entire production and reflects the methodology used in his most recent album, My Industrial Steel Lung. On stage, this innovative approach translates into the integration of the guitar as the main element in his Techno-Prog performance: his instrument’s playing reproduces breaks, drops, risers as well as other effects associated to the EDM and Electronic music scene.
