Three years of waiting… and FINALLY the news from Behringer is positive!

Back in 2018 Behringer revealed the RD-909 (now the RD-9), on ‘909 Day’. Another addition to a line of great classic Roland clones they’ve release over the past few years. Since then there was no real mention of the product, a clone of the classic Roland TR-909, until January of this year, when Behringer posted demo video on YouTube, which was greatly received!

Behringer apologised in a recent post on Facebook for how long it’s taken, pointing at inefficiencies in the global supply chain during the pandemic being the main cause of delays. They also added that there are a bunch of exciting new features added to the unit and thanks the beta testers for the suggestions. They signed off by making everyone aware that there are a large amount of back order and a little more patience will be required.

So, we know the RD-9 is shipping but no dates have emerged to suggest any pre-orders.
