We are big fans of Scaler 3 here at RouteNote Create so were rather excited when word reached us of a new update. If you’re new to this software, Scaler 3.1 is a chord detection and compositional tool that allows you to create full melodic compositions intuitively and with ease. So if you are not exactly a wiz on the keys, Scaler 3.1 can quite literally ‘provide the key’.

New Features

  • Drag & Drop Detect
    Just drag MIDI or audio files into Scaler to instantly detect and populate chord sets—no need to play them live.
  • Live Sync
    Probably the most exciting new feature allows you to sync chords across multiple Scaler instances in the same or different DAWs. This is perfect for workflows in Ableton Live or when using both plugin and standalone versions.
  • Bass Follow Track
    Scaler’s new Bass Follow motion automatically tracks the lowest note of each chord with customizable length, octave, and even voice-specific routing using MIDI modifiers.
  • Snap to Any Position
    You can now place chords anywhere on Scaler’s timeline, which stays in sync with your DAW—ideal for composing long-form or cinematic music.
  • Working Better with Main Track Chords
    Main Track chords are easier to position and resize, with improved visual feedback and smarter interaction between neighbouring chords.
