If there aren’t enough modulators in your favorite iOS music production app, mLFO is for you. Now you can supercharge your iOS music with 16 programmable LFOs.

It’s time to bring more of our favorite tools to iOS production suites. We can use LFOs to modulate more movement and automation in our sounds on our iOS music production apps. As IOS production apps have been on the rise, so it’s only fitting that developers create more tools to make them more effective, reports Synth Anatomy.

Achilleas Sourlas has released a new app on iOS that allows you to supercharge your favorite synthesizer, effects, or apps that have too few modulators onboard. How so? By pro with even more LFOs.

mLFO is based on AudioKit, which is an audio development ecosystem of code repositories, packages, libraries, algorithms, applications, and more that is a framework that allows you to develop your first app much faster and easier. mLFO brings 16 programmable advanced MIDI LFOs. Each LFO has a variety of shapes from sine, triangle, square, sawtooth, reverse sawtooth, ramp /18, ramp 1/4, and ramp 1/2. Different controls from maximum and minimum values, LFO rate, and phase are also available on each LFO. They also support a wide rate range from 1/128 to 130442 beats too.

You are given get two trigger modes, either from the host (allowing you to sync an LFO to your DAWs playback) or manually via MIDI note information. mLFO is a simple yet very effective tool for mobile music makers, allowing you to get more out of every music-making app with MIDI CC support.

mLFO runs as a standalone app or as a AUv3 MIDI plugin. Running mLFO as a AUv3 MIDI plugin makes it easier to integrate into your mobile setup. You can launch multiple instances of the app in AUM or any other iOS DAW too, which means you’re not limited to 16 LFO outputs of the standalone app.
