Solid State Logic have released SSL Fusion HF Compressor, their latest fusion-based plugin.

SSL Fusion HF Compressor emulates the original Fusion’s hardware high frequency smoothing circuit, and the HF circuit adds analog ’rounding’ to harsh input signals, reports gearnews.com.

The Fusion HF Compressor plugin can bring “tape-like roll-off and smooth compression” by taming harsh or brittle high frequencies. With this tool, we can give our stems and mixing a professional polish, and our masters too! SSL Fusion HF Compressor has an easy to learn and use interface, so you can jump straight in and toy with the parameters available to you.

To adjust the frequencies that the HF Compressor will, well, compress, we have the X-OVER control.

Threshold allows us to dictate how much compression we want, and Mix determines allows us to blend the original and compressed signals together.

The Listen feature allows us to isolate the affected frequencies so we can accurately measure what we’re actually doing to our input signal.

With ECO we can reduce latency and the workload on our CPU while during tracking and monitoring, and, finally, metering itself is provided by the Gain Reduction History graph and Gain Reduction meter.

Now available from the SSL web store, SSL Fusion HF Compressor is sitting at an introductory price of EUR 119 (down from EUR 159).

SSL plug-ins work on both macOS Mojave or later and Windows 8.1 or later in 64-bit VST2, VST3, AAX and AU formats.
